For winemakers

Russian River Valley fruit for thoughtful winemaking

River Road Vineyard has an established history of producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for Sonoma County wineries. Under new family ownership, we are building the next set of relationships directly.

If the site sounds relevant to what you make, we would rather have a conversation than put every specification on a public page.

What we grow

Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Two varieties closely associated with the Russian River Valley, grown on established vineyard ground in Forestville.

Pinot Noir

Established Pinot Noir plantings at River Road Vineyard, shaped by the cool growing conditions of the Russian River Valley. Block-level planting information, clone and rootstock details are included in the private vineyard packet.

Chardonnay

Chardonnay grows on both sides of River Road, from the established River Road plantings to the smaller family block that first pulled us into making wine ourselves.

Our approach

Family owned. Built for the long term.

Ownership changes the time horizon. Decisions about the vineyard are made with the next season in mind, but also with the next decade in mind.

We value direct relationships with the wineries that buy our fruit. You will be talking with the family behind the property, and we would rather build a lasting fit than treat grapes as an anonymous commodity.

Fruit from River Road Vineyard has a history of going to respected Sonoma County producers. Specific historical relationships and current availability can be discussed directly.
